The 20-year-old Ghanaian spent last season on loan with Sassuolo in Serie B, scoring 11 goals in 32 games and providing seven assists.
He is currently co-owned between Juve and Genoa, but had returned to Turin this summer after the Under-20 World Cup.
Sky Sport Italia claim Boakye will move to Spain with Elche on loan with a contract worth €250,000.
He had been close to joining Chievo, but Genoa’s exchange with Adrian Stoian collapsed.
