Juventus transfer news: Di Maria latest, Demiral the key to Koulibaly?

Juventus are reportedly open to offering Angel Di Maria a one-year deal, while, according to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri could include Merih Demiral as part of the deal to sign Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Bianconeri want to become title contenders again in 2022-23 and Max Allegri has demanded experienced players to improve the squad.

The Serie A giants have been in talks with Di Maria for several weeks now, with the player insisting that he only wants a one-year deal in order to play the World Cup and return to Argentina in 2023.

Juventus would rather offer a two-year deal to use the growth decree and get a 50% cut on the player’s gross salary, but according to Il Corriere dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, the club directors are now open to offering Di Maria a dry one-year deal without an option for a second season in Turin.

The Argentinean has put talks on hold, waiting for an offer from Barcelona, which would be his favourite destination, but the Catalans are dealing with financial issues and are still unable to offer a contract to El Fideo.

Juventus are also looking for an experienced replacement for Giorgio Chiellini, who has joined Los Angeles FC. Max Allegri’s priority is Kalidou Koulibaly and according to Tuttosport, Juventus could offer Demiral as part of the deal to lower Napoli’s economic demands.

The Turkey international will return to Turin as Atalanta have decided against making his loan move permanent. However, he is not in Allegri’s plans and Juventus are planning to find a new club for the former Sassuolo man.
