Juventus have been given a boost in their efforts to sign Franck Kessie as Barcelona are open to a loan deal, reports detail.
Bianconeri sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is looking to strengthen Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield this summer and believes the 26-year-old Ivorian would be a great fit for the squad.
Kessie left Milan on a free transfer last year and joined up with Barcelona, penning a four-year deal. He struggled to make a strong impression in his debut season, seeing less than 1000 minutes of action in La Liga.
Page four of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Juventus met with Barcelona ahead of their pre-season friendly in the United States to discuss a possible deal for Kessie, where the Catalonian side made it clear that they’d accept a loan deal.
The two clubs have started to draw up an idea – a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached. The Blaugrana want around €15m plus add-ons, whilst the Old Lady are hoping to spend a little less.
