Timothy Weah seemed to be a step away from returning to action with Juventus but has now been sidelined by a new muscle injury.
The 23-year-old American wing back was forced off the pitch at half time n the Bianconeri’s 1-0 win over Hellas Verona at the end of last month and has not been seen since, missing the last two league games with a hamstring issue.
Juventus had hoped to recover Weah during the November international break, keen to have him in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad for the fast-approaching Derby d’Italia, but bad news has emerged from Continassa.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Weah has suffered a new muscle problem and tests confirmed that he’ll be sidelined again, leaving Juventus without the wing back for the coming derby with Inter. The new issue is seemingly linked to a preexisting injury.
The American has seen 411 minutes of action across 10 appearances for the Bianconeri this season, playing the full 90 minutes of a match just once.
