Juventus want to close this month’s transfer window with one more signing and they’re looking to pick up Roma linked Denis Zakaria.
The 25-year-old Swiss midfielder’s contract expires with Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of this season and a number of clubs around Europe are interested in signing him on a free transfer, including the Giallorossi, but the Bianconeri want to beat out their competition with an immediate move.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus want to sign Zakaria in this month’s transfer window, paying compensation to the Bundesliga side in order to avoid competing for his signature in the summer.
This won’t be a simple deal, however, and first the club need to make a sale. Tottenham are keen for Dejan Kulusevski and Aston Villa want Rodrigo Bentancur, making them the two most likely candidates to leave. The alternative to Zakaria is Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, who is one of the brighter stars in the Sardinian squad this season.
