Juventus defender Danilo is at serious risk of missing out on the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta after picking up an injury.

The Bianconeri held Daniele De Rossi’s Roma to a tense 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico in Sunday, yet another disappointing result for Massimiliano Allegri and his players. The Old Lady have now won just two of their last 14 consecutive league matches.

Juventus have the chance to restore some joy in the Piedmont capital later this month, when they face Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final on May 15. The Bianconeri last lifted the trophy in the 2020-21 campaign, when they beat Gian Piero Gasperini’s side in the final.

Juventus confirmed today that Danilo underwent a round of medical tests following the draw with Roma which confirmed the presence of a lesion to his hamstring, an issue that’ll force him to miss the upcoming match with Salernitana.

The Bianconeri are now working to have the 32-year-old available for their Coppa Italia final with Atalanta, their most important match of the campaign.
