Juventus close to new Milik deal with Marseille

Juventus are close to working out a new deal for Arkadiusz Milik, which would mean him extending his contract with Olympique Marseille first.

The centre-forward spent this season on loan in Turin and made 39 competitive appearances, scoring nine goals with one assist.

There was an option to buy set at €7m, but the deadline passed and the Bianconeri did not activate it.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juve are nonetheless close to agreeing new terms with Marseille to keep Milik on a permanent basis.

It will be another loan, but this time with an obligation to buy at the end of the season if certain sporting targets are achieved.

In order to make that work, the 29-year-old Poland international must first sign a new one-year contract extension to June 2026 with Marseille.

His current deal is only due to run until June 2025.

Milik had also been linked with Lazio, which would’ve given him a reunion with former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri.
