Tuttosport claims that the Bianconeri have already started the contract negotiation with the French midfielder and Fabio Paratici has been in touch with the former Paris Saint-Germain man’s representatives.

The newspaper goes on to claim that Juve will be taking the development of Adrien Rabiot into account and a possible renewal for the World Cup winner Matuidi could lead to a lower salary than his current €3.5m a year.
They are currently discussing to extend the contract until June 2021 and Tuttosport reveals that it could be done within the next month.
Matuidi has played 19 games in Serie A for the Bianconeri this term and has appeared 114 times in total for the Turin giants since his €25m move from PSG in August 2017.
