Juventus are determined to sign Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina for €30m, offering him the Number 10 shirt, even though Carlos Tevez would be easier.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Bianconeri and Coach Antonio Conte have identified Jo-Jo as the ideal reinforcement in attack.
The Montenegro international has told Fiorentina he wants to leave and is available for €30m, although the Tuscans are not eager to sell to their bitter rivals.
This week Jovetic’s agent also confirmed he’d prefer to stay in Italy, so Arsenal’s €28m proposal has fallen by the wayside.
It is now claimed that Juve are willing to offer Jovetic the Number 10 jersey last worn by Alessandro Del Piero as a sign of how much they trust him to make club history.
The club would include Manolo Gabbiadini, Luca Marrone or Mauricio Isla as part of the deal.
Dealing with Fiorentina will be tricky, so the Bianconeri are also keeping an eye on their fall-back option, Manchester City striker Tevez.
The Argentine is out of contract next summer and has never been truly settled at Eastlands, so is widely expected to leave.
Tevez also represents an easier alternative to Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain, but is of interest to Monaco.
