Former Milan Coach Arrigo Sacchi has criticised Juventus for not adapting well enough to European football.
The Bianconeri lost 1-0 to Olympiacos last night, a first-half effort from Pajtim Kasami condemning the Old Lady to defeat in Athens, despite a second-half assault on the Greek goal.
“The story of Juventus in recent years is difficulty in the Champions League,” Sacchi commented to Mediaset.
“In Europe you play a different kind of football, and Juventus have not made that leap, even if they were very unlucky in the second half.
“They threw it away in a mediocre first half however, where the only good thing was the play for the [Olympiacos] goal.
“Our football is based on individuality, on slow pace. There’s no continuity, because in Europe that’s not what it’s all about.
“Olympiacos tried to score, whereas back in Italy there are teams which don’t ever try [to score].”
