Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric said Roma ‘needed someone like Marash Kumbulla’ ahead of their first League match against the Giallorossi.
The former Verona defender has moved to the Olimpico ahead of 2020-21 and Juric has lost one of his key members in defence.
Juric has studied Roma ahead of the new campaign and believes the Giallorossi are ‘fine’ now that Kumbulla arrived.
“They are fine,” Juric said at a press conference. “Roma play more or less like last year, they brought in Kumbulla for their defence.

“That was something they lacked. We are talking about [Edin] Dzeko or [Arek] Milik, but it doesn’t change much for them.”
Verona, on the other hand, start from scratch, according to the coach: “I would cancel last season, there’s not much left of that base.
“Different players have arrived, with different characters. We must start with our ideas and work on that.
“It’s over, we had fun, but enough about that: we must think about the new year.”
Verona finished ninth in Serie A last term and start the new season with a home game against Roma at the Bentegodi tomorrow.
