Jorginho: ‘Eight finals for Napoli’

Jorginho says Napoli have “eight finals” between now and the end of the season as they look to overhaul Juventus.

The Partenopei are three points behind the defending champions at the top of the League, with the season entering the final stretch.

“We never give up, and we’re hunting Juventus too,” Jorginho told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“We have to work hard in these eight finals, and we’ll try. We’ll have fun whatever the end result is. There’s a long way to go.

“Udinese? It’ll be a tough game, and when teams play Napoli there’s always extra motivation. Then there’s the fact they have a new Coach [Gigi De Canio], which always offers extra stimulus.”

Though he was born in Brazil, Jorginho represented Italy at youth level, and finally made his debut for the senior team against Spain last week.

“It was exciting and very beautiful, a dream come true. The squad welcomed me very well, and I had [Lorenzo] Insigne to help me integrate.

“I felt very good.”
