Daniel James assures Wales have ‘nothing to fear’ from the Euro 2020 Group A showdown with Italy. ‘We go in believing we can win.’
The Azzurri have beaten Turkey and Switzerland 3-0 and need only a point to be guaranteed top spot in the group, as Wales were held by the Swiss and beat the Turks.
They meet at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Sunday at 17.00 UK time.
“I don’t think you can ever write us off,” James told BBC Sport.
“Italy are a great team, they had a great run going into the tournament, they’re a new team from last Euros, lots of new players, not make weaknesses, but we have to fully believe we can go and get a result.”
