Iturbe could miss a month

There is concern that Roma could be without winger Juan Manuel Iturbe for up to a month, following an injury picked up this week.

The 21-year-old came off with just 25 minutes into the Giallorossi’s Champions League win over CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night, having picked up a complaint in his groin.

It was initially hoped the issue was not serious, but concern is increasing that a muscle injury to his right thigh has occurred which could keep the forward out for as long as 30 days.

It was initially hoped the issue was not serious, but concern is increasing that a muscle injury to his right thigh has occurred which could keep the forward out for as long as 30 days.

This is according to Il Messaggero, who say that Iturbe is set for diagnostic tests during the course of Friday, and that any recovery time will be determined by his response.

It is seen that the best case scenario for Rudi Garcia will be a week’s absence for the youngster.

Roma have already lost Davide Astori for at least two weeks with a first degree strain to his knee.
