Coach Devis Mangia released the list of players this evening ahead of Italy’s participation in the tournament, which is in Israel from June 5-18.
This will then be whittled down to a squad of 23 for the competition itself by May 27.
Mangia and Cesare Prandelli have confirmed they will sit down to negotiate which players will make the step up from the Under-21 side to the senior team for the Confederations Cup this summer.
It is believed Verratti and El Shaarawy will be called up by Prandelli for the jaunt to Brazil.
