Italy say farewell to Puma after 20 years

Italy will begin their new partnership with Adidas from 2023, so have said farewell to Puma by looking back over 20 years of jerseys, including the 2006 World Cup triumph and EURO 2020 victory.

The Azzurri’s contract is due to expire on December 31 and the FIGC saluted their historic kit sponsors with a poster and full-page ad in various newspapers.

It shows the 13 different designs worn by the Nazionale during a 20-year period that included them lifting the 2006 World Cup in Germany and becoming European Champions at Wembley Stadium last summer.

“20 years on our chests,” read the inscription.

“Thank you to our kit sponsors Puma for having accompanied us first to the top of the world and then that of Europe, for having dressed our every victory and every defeat and for having shared with us the dream that unites us all, that of the Azzurri.”
