Italy medics fly out for Verratti

Verratti and Blaise Matuidi are both out of today’s Ligue 1 game against Montpellier and they remain doubts to feature in the Champions League with Chelsea next week.

“Verratti is not in the squad. It is an inflammation that has affected him on the level of the bone, which is more problematic to resolve.

“It’s tricky,” commented Coach Blanc in his Press conference.

The Corriere dello Sport claims Italy are concerned and sent their chief medic Enrico Castellacci out to visit Verratti in Paris.

“Verratti was exceptional against Chelsea in the first leg. I don’t know if he’ll be in a condition to repeat that performance, but he has maintained his fitness levels in cardiac terms,” added PSG tactician Blanc.

"He can't make lateral movements yet, only back and forth."
