Vincenzo Italiano was pleased with Spezia’s reaction to draw 2-2 with Fiorentina. ‘If we’d believed a little more, we could’ve won.’
The minnows conceded two goals within the opening four minutes, stunned by German Pezzella’s header and a Cristiano Biraghi angled drive.
“It’s not easy going 2-0 down after four minutes against a strong side like Fiorentina,” Italiano told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s not good that we were in that situation, but we reacted in the best fashion and got back on level terms. I do think if we’d believed in ourselves a little more, we could even have won the match.”
Spezia have had a more than impressive first ever Serie A season so far, sitting mid-table on four points from as many rounds.
