Inter try to unlock Arnautovic with Sensi proposal

Inter are continuing in their attempts to bring Mark Arnautovic back to the club and could offer Bologna the services of Stefano Sensi as part of the deal according to reports from Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri are still down a striker from last season, having parted company with both Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku at the end of 2022-23. Marcus Thuram has arrived on a free transfer, but Simone Inzaghi would still like another option up top.

After losing out on Gianluca Scamacca and then walking away from their pursuit of Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun, Arnautovic has emerged as one of the primary candidates to fill the position.

However, Bologna are in absolutely no rush to sell and would like to keep hold of the Austria international, who has scored 24 goals in 54 league appearances for the Rossoblu, for as long as possible.

Il Corriere suggests that Inter could now include Sensi as part of an exchange deal in order to convince Bologna to let Arnautovic leave.

The 28-year-old spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan with Monza, where he made Serie A appearances despite a Fibula injury midway through the season.

His contract at San Siro is currently set to expire at the end of 2023-24.
