Inter try again for Giroud

Inter are yet again being linked with a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window.

The 34-year-old has been on their radar for over a year, with rumours of a January 2020 switch imminent, then again over the summer.

Lazio were also said to be in negotiations for the France international, who extended his contract in May with a new expiry in June 2021.

According to Calciomercato.com, Antonio Conte has not entirely lost hope of a reunion with Giroud at San Siro.

Giroud has not been getting much playing time at Stamford Bridge so far this season and could be tempted to again look elsewhere.

Inter are concerned at the growing Alexis Sanchez injury problems, having no real alternative to Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

They used Ivan Perisic as a makeshift striker for several recent games when Lukaku was ruled out.
