Inter, Torino set for EL draw

Inter and Torino will today learn who they face in the Europa League Play-off round, and both teams are seeded.

The draw for the final preliminary round of the UEFA competition will be held this afternoon, with 62 teams split between six pots.

Groups 1 to 5 contain 10 clubs each and Group 6 holds 12, and each group is split evenly between seeded and unseeded teams, who will then be randomly drawn against each other.

Inter, who enter at this stage of the competition thanks to their fifth place finish in Serie A last term, are in the 12-team Group 6.

As a seeded side, the Nerazzurri can face one from Stjarnan, FC Midtjylland, HNK Rijeka, Grasshopper Club, FC Zorya Luhansk and FC Krasnodar.

Torino, meanwhile, who yesterday successfully advanced from the Third-qualifying round of the competition to reach this stage, are in Group 4 and also seeded, and can be drawn against RNK Split, AC Omonia, KSC Lokeren OV, FC Aktobe or FC Astra.

The two-legged Play-off ties will be played on August 21 and 28, with winners advancing to the Group stage of the competition.
