Inter are preparing a new contract for midfielder Nicolò Barella and will give him the captain’s armband in future, claim reports.
According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, the Nerazzurri are eager to keep the young Italy international happy in case big overseas clubs come calling.
Barella only turned 24 last month, but is already one of the real leaders in the squad and is going from strength to strength at San Siro.
He was signed from Cagliari in 2019 for €40m and is still on the contract worth €2.5m per season.
