The Italian international is currently defending the goal of Palermo after they bought Genoa’s 50 per cent share in him last month.

Inter own the other half on his contract and he is widely considered as a Nerazzurri custodian of the future once Julio Cesar is no longer the No 1.

However, the former Bologna man has admitted that he may not necessarily become a regular at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

“I don’t know if I will return to Inter,” he said after last night’s 4-4 draw between the two teams who own him. “It depends on the club…”

Viviano has returned to action after he damaged knee ligaments in pre-season. He’s hoping to make Italy’s Euro 2012 squad.
