Inter board member Marco Tronchetti Provera has reiterated the club's stance on Wesley Sneijder's recent contract dispute.
The Dutch international has been told he will not play for the club again until he accepts a wage cut, and the 64-year-old has repeated this claim, as well as praising the work done by Coach Andrea Stramaccioni.
“Inter have a clear policy regarding wages,” he told reporters at the Soccerex convention in Rio de Janeiro. “And we need to continue on that path regardless.
“I did not see yesterday's loss to Parma, but I have great confidence in Stramaccioni. At the beginning of the season no one fancied this team, but through hard work we are now certainly Scudetto challengers.”
