Inter send new Lukaku offer to Chelsea

Inter have reportedly made their new offer for Romelu Lukaku and are waiting for Chelsea to give a response, while Valentin Carboni is heading to Monza.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the second proposal was made today after an initial €25m plus bonuses bid was rejected.

The new and improved bid is believed to be at €30m plus add-ons.

This is still a long way off the €45m asking price set by Chelsea, but Sportitalia had reported last night that Inter have no intention of going above €35m including bonuses.

That would suggest this is the limit that they are going to reach at this stage of the summer for the Belgium international, who has made it abundantly clear he only wants to play for the Nerazzurri.

Chelsea purchased Lukaku from Inter for €115m back in August 2021, then loaned him back again last summer for €8m plus performance-related bonuses.

They are refusing to allow another loan, so Inter are trying to purchase Lukaku outright.

Meanwhile, Inter are also set to loan Argentine striker Valentin Carboni to Serie A side Monza.

It is hardly surprising, as his brother Franco already plays for Monza and their father Ezequiel is the coach of the Monza youth team.
