Monza left back Carlos Augusto will complete his transfer to Inter today, having completed his medicals.
The 24-year-old Brazilian full back shined in his debut season in Serie A, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 35 league games. He was quickly identified by Inter as a top replacement for Robin Gosens, who is expected to transfer back to Germany in the coming days.
Inter agreed to sign Carlos Augusto from Monza on a loan deal with a €13m obligation to buy clause attached, adding a talented left back to Simone Inzaghi’s squad.
As highlighted by TMW, Carlos Augusto successfully completed his medicals with Inter this morning and is expected to arrive at the club’s headquarters with his agent Giuseppe Riso later today to sign his contract.
The 24-year-old could make his debut for the Nerazzurri in their Serie A season opener on August 19, when they host his former club Monza.
