Inter might finally have found a buyer for Valentino Lazaro, as he could join Benfica on a two-year loan with obligation to buy for €8.5m.
The Austria international right-back cost €22.4m to sign from Hertha Berlin in 2019, but made no impact in the Nerazzurri jersey.
He also failed to impress sufficiently in loan spells with Newcastle United and Borussia Monchengladbach.
His contract runs to June 2024 and Inter are desperate to sell the 25-year-old in order to ensure some money back on the initial investment.
According to Sport Mediaset transfer pundit Marco Barzaghi, a deal is close with Benfica, for a two-season loan with obligation to buy in 2023 for €8.5m.
Lazaro has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund this summer.
He plays as a right-back, wing-back or even in a more advanced wide attacking role.
