“We’re more compact,” the stopper stated when asked by Sky Sport Italia if they are now a stronger defensive unit.
“We work as a team and suffer less, but we have to continue like this because we’re only at Week 2 of the season.”
Former Napoli Coach Mazzarri, who replaced Andrea Stramaccioni, has introduced his trademark three-man defence to the Beneamata side.
“Mazzarri really looks after the small details, both in attack and in defence,” the former Genoa player added. “He starts with the basics, you could say.
“I'm always of the opinion that Inter have to work game after game, week after week, and learn from our mistakes.”
