Inter-Milan stadium talks

Inter and Milan have decided to cooperate to work towards renewing San Siro, according to reports.

The two clubs have long been opposed in terms of their vision of what should happen to their common stadium, as the Rossoneri were thinking of migrating to a new structure and giving mixed signals to Inter in terms of what to do with San Siro.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports of a change in policy as Barbara Berlusconi, joint-CEO of Milan, met Inter President Erick Thohir and CEO Michael Bolingbroke at Casa Milan.

The directors reportedly agreed to start a group that will coordinate collaborative work on San Siro. The objective is believed to be modernising the stadium and making it more welcoming.

Among the most significant aspects of the restructuring, it is speculated that the stadium's third tier may be removed.

While a date for the beginning of the works has not been set, new meetings are expected a few weeks from now. Once a common plan has been established, another discussion, this time inclusive of the city hall, will have to be scheduled.
