Inter launch ‘BUU’ initiative

Inter have launched an anti-racism initiative to turn ‘boos’ into BUU – an abbreviation for Brothers Universally United.

Inter were forced to play two games behind closed doors after their fans racially abused Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly on Boxing Day.

Consequently, the Nerazzurri posted a video on Twitter, which has since gone viral, encouraging people to write ‘BUUs’ instead of saying them.

“Write and share your BUU so it’s never heard again. Let’s make it a message of unity, rather than racism. #BrothersUniversallyUnited #NoToDiscrimination,” read the accompanying tweet.

The video features President Steven Zhang and Inter stars past and present, including Mauro Icardi, Javier Zanetti, Luis Figo and Samuel Eto’o.

‘Buu’ is the Italian translation of the English word ‘boo’.
