Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah will be available as a free agent in June, but while Inter are considering a summer transfer, Juventus are working to sign the 28-year-old in January, reports Gazzetta.

According to the latest report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus and Inter have set their sights on Bayer Leverkusen star Tah.

However, the Serie A giants are said to have different strategies.

Inter are considering a free transfer in the summer, while their domestic rivals need a defensive reinforcement earlier to replace the injured Gleison Bremer.

Signing Tah in the January window would require Juventus to reach an agreement with the player and his club.

According to the report, the Bianconeri are eager to get the 28-year-old in the January transfer window, but they need to sell one player first and hope Tah accepts a salary of around €4m-€5m per year.

Juventus are still working to balance their books, so selling any unwanted player would help them lower their wage bill before potentially signing Tah.

Arthur is already searching for a new club, while Danilo is not getting regular playing time even though the Brazilian defender hasn’t requested to leave the club.

The pink paper claims Bayern Munich are also interested in Tah and had already offered the German centre-back a €4.5m-a-year contract plus add-ons last summer.
