Milan Skriniar is currently dealing with a concerning back injury and he was accompanied by a Paris Saint-Germain staff member for his recent tests, a move that didn’t go down well with Inter.
The 28-year-old Slovakian defender has missed the Nerazzurri’s last four league outings due to the issue, which was initially reported to be lumbago before it was confirmed that he’d suffered nerve irritation due to intervertebral disc compression, a more worrying injury.
Skriniar has been the topic of much conversation this season as Inter looked to tie him down to a new contract. At the end of January, he confirmed that he’d be leaving on a free transfer in the summer, with PSG ready to welcome him with open arms.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Skriniar flew from Milan to Bordeaux on Monday, heading to the CERS (Centre Européen de Rééducation du Sportif) in Capbreton, where his back injury was closely examined.
These tests occurred under the supervision of a PSG staff member. Inter were informed of this, but did not take it well. After these tests, he joined up with the Slovakia national team before quickly withdrawing due to the issue.
In the meantime, Skriniar will continue his personalised physical therapy and recovery work at Appiano Gentile.
