Inter and Italy talent Gnonto joins FC Zurich

Inter have lost one of their most promising youth team players, as Italy U-17 international Wilfried Gnonto has officially signed for FC Zurich.

The Swiss side announced the signing on their official website, noting it is a three-year contract valid from the 2020-21 season to June 2023.

He was born in the Italian city of Verbania, with his family origins in the Ivory Coast, and he has been in the Inter youth academy since the age of nine.

Forward Gnonto has already taken part in the Under-17 World Cup for Italy and is a regular for the Under-19 Inter Primavera team.

This is his first professional contract, as Gnonto is only 16 years old.

It means Inter are only likely to get a training bonus of €200,000.
