Lorenzo Insigne believes Napoli ‘can go all the way’ this season as Coach Carlo Ancelotti ‘has been talking to us about the Scudetto since day one.’
Napoli face Juventus on Saturday in just their second Serie A match of the 2019-20 campaign, with the Bianconeri having won the last eight Scudetti.
“We’re living this week like all the others,” Insigne told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“We’re calm, even if we know that this is a very heartfelt match. We’re trying to prepare for it in the best possible way so we can achieve an excellent result.
“Having Sarri as an opponent will be strange, but we don’t have to think about him anymore. We can only think about having a great performance.
“We made some mistakes in Florence on Saturday, so we’ll try to do better in this game. Every game has its own story, so we must minimise the number of errors we make.”
The Italy forward was then asked about wearing the captain’s armband, as well as new strike partner Hirving Lozano and the Partenopei’s chances of title glory.
“I’m trying to make myself available to the team, lending a hand to my teammates and the Coach, who’s giving me confidence.
“I hope I can continue the way I started. Inter are also very strong, as well as Juventus, but we’ll try to go all the way on all fronts this season.
“Lozano has so much quality, he’s made a good impression on me: we hope he can give us a hand right away. He always has a smile on his face and that’s certainly a good thing.
“The Coach has been talking to us about the Scudetto since day one. We can go all the way this season.
“If he’s been talking to us about it, it means he’s seen something in us that has triggered a spark. We can do something great.”
