The young Italian is delighting at Napoli and he contributed with two goals to demolishing Milan yesterday evening.

“Lorenzo still isn't at 100 per cent, let's say he's at 80 per cent,” his agent Fabio Andreotti told Tuttomercatoweb.

“He has important skills, they emerge slowly but steadily. He can still do much better.”

Former Italy Coach Arrigo Sacchi said Insigne is the best Italian talent at the moment, and his agent echoed the sentiment.

“He knows him well and I'm pleased that a Coach of his level should say that.

“I agree with his words now, as I also agreed with him back when he was criticising the player for not playing at his best.

“Now he works closer to the goal and this makes a difference.

“Under [Walter] Mazzarri and [Rafa] Benitez he developed greatly, but obviously anyone would lose lucidity when being asked to do extra defensive work.

“He can play as an offensive midfielder too, he has the touch and the right skill for it.

“But if you take him out of the most crowded parts of the game, as is the case in the formation he plays in right now, then he can really make a difference.”

Finally, Andreotti was asked whether Insigne could become the icon of the Partenopei.

“Only with the right guarantees. And I'm not just talking about the financial side.

“After yesterday's game I received text messages by the directors of three important European clubs who expressed their compliments, but he wants to stay at Napoli.

“Of course, though, this desire has to be mutual.

“He could become the Totti of Napoli, but Totti was given guarantees about the project and the team's technical aspects to keep him where he was. That's what mde him the lynchpin of the Giallorossi vision.”
