Dino Lamberti also revealed there is a lot of interest in the player from other clubs but he expects the 29-year-old to remain at San Paolo.
“Gokhan is growing,” Lamberti said to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli. “He has a Coach who motivates him and if he continues to work he will probably become captain of Napoli.
“He is very happy at Napoli, he has become a Turkish-Neapolitan!
“Though there is a lot of interest in him from other clubs, the important thing is that he plays well for Napoli for the moment.”
The agent then commented on the Partenopei’s goalless weekend draw with Inter.
“If we look at how the match went, it was a decent performance. The Azzurri played well.
“All of Napoli’s matches have been good from a technical aspect, but they haven’t always found the way to score and get a result.
“But we are on the right road to improving next year.”
