Ciro Immobile has equalled Silvio Piola’s record as the all-time top Lazio scorer with 159 goals in all competitions.
The Italy international striker was on target during this afternoon’s 2-2 Serie A draw against Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.
The 31-year-old has been wearing the Biancocelesti jersey since 2016, when he made the move from Sevilla for under €10m.
It means so far this season, Immobile also has nine goals in 10 Serie A appearances, making him the current Capocannoniere.
This was his 159th goal in 232 official appearances for the club, equalling the record set by Piola in 243 games for the Aquile.
Piola, who died in October 1996 at the age of 83, represented Lazio from 1934 to 1943.
The rest of the all-time club record charts for Lazio has Beppe Signori in third place on 127 goals, Giorgio Chinaglia’s 121 and Bruno Giordano with 116.
As for Immobile, his career now reads 164 goals in 270 Serie A games, along with 44 assists.
