Icardi aims to end goal drought

Mauro Icardi is currently on his longest goal drought in an Inter jersey, not scoring from open play since October, and hopes to break it against Parma.

It kicks off at 19.30 GMT, click here for a match preview.

The Argentine had never previously gone six Serie A rounds in a row without finding the net since he joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2013.

He hasn’t been on target in the league since converting a penalty in the 1-0 win over Udinese on December 15.

More worryingly, the ‘fox in the box’ hitman’s last Serie A goal from open play was against Lazio on October 29.

That brace was followed by two spot-kicks and a header from a corner.

Inter take on Parma this evening and that represents another taboo for Icardi, who has never been able to score against the Ducali.
