However, Marcello Trotta and Simeon Nwankwo each netted a double as Walter Zenga’s team secured a comfortable victory.

“Nothing worked at all. We prepared one match but we played another,” Iachini admitted following the final whistle.
“We made mistakes in so many situations, we need to be better and more attentive in certain situations.
“We have been on a great run, with eight consecutive positive results.
“Credit to Crotone, but we need to go over some things again.
“Today, we didn’t succeed. We turn the page and look to the next game.”
Sassuolo are in 13th place following defeat to Crotone, six points clear of the relegation places.
