Torino and Napoli are still fighting to finish ninth in Serie A, a position that could be enough to take them to the Conference League.
Serie A has already secured a fifth spot in the Champions League following UEFA’s confusingly revamped rules ahead of next season’s format changes and could even send a sixth team to Europe’s premier club competition should Atalanta fail to win their final two matches.
Torino and Napoli are both still fighting for a ninth-place finish in Serie A, with the former sitting on 53 points and the latter on 52. The Granata face Atalanta in their last game of the season, whilst the Partenopei take on Lecce at the same time.
How Torino or Napoli can go to Conference League
Should Fiorentina win the Conference League final over Olympiacos on May 29th, then they’d qualify for the Europa League automatically, leaving the ninth place team in Serie A to move on to the Conference League, essentially sending half of the league to Europe for the 2024-25 campaign.
