How much Inter will earn from Japan pre-season tour

Inter have now arrived in Japan for their pre-season tour, something that will bring in some extra revenue for the club.

The Nerazzurri left Italy for Osaka on July 23 and will travel to Tokyo before returning to the Lombardy capital on August 1. They will play two friendlies whilst in Japan, facing Al-Nassr on July 27 and Paris Saint-Germain on their last day.

Inter are keen to build off their unexpected run to the Champions League final last season and are hungry to stay involved in the Scudetto race in the coming campaign.

Page eight of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how this is Inter’s third trip to Japan, following their previous visits in 1981 and 2004. The club have around 1.5 million local fans and 200 members in affiliated youth clubs in Osaka and Tokyo.

This pre-season tour to Japan will earn Inter around €2.5m, giving them a little extra revenue to work with. The club sold Andre Onana to Manchester United for around €55m total and are still looking to pick up a few more reinforcements before next season.
