Bayern Munich have started to explore a move for Theo Hernandez, a star Milan aren’t looking to sell in the summer transfer window.
Whilst the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United last summer showed that the Rossoneri aren’t unwilling to part with key players for large sums, Theo Hernandez is one of the most crucial cogs in Stefano Pioli’s squad.
Theo Hernandez has featured as both a left back and centre back this term, shining both offensively and defensively. He has scored four goals and provided nine assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Bayern did contact Hernandez’s agents to explore a move in recent days, aware that Milan don’t consider any players unsellable in the current climate.
Despite that, the Rossoneri aren’t looking to cash in on the Frenchman this summer and are planning to lock him down to a new long-term deal, willing to improve his €4.5m total wages. His current contract expires in June 2026, having last been renewed two years ago.
