Higuain granted extra leave?

Juventus have allegedly granted Gonzalo Higuain an extra five days of leave for personal reasons, but the decision could instigate a potential transfer.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus have given Pipita a prolonged deadline to return from Argentina due to the illness of his mother but could also be the former Napoli forward’s first steps towards a future elsewhere.

Both Adrien Rabiot and Higuain are still in their respective homelands and the French midfielder has been continuing his individual training in direct contact with the Old Lady.

But they are denying their return to Italy and the reports in Italy claim the initial refusal to travel has not received a warm welcome by the executives at Allianz Stadium.

When the players return to Turin, they will have to undergo a mandatory quarantine of at least two weeks but as the clubs are not resuming group training officially just yet, the players are not forced to come back.

The other foreign players who opted to leave Italy during quarantine have already returned to Piedmont and Juventus hope to see Rabiot back as soon as possible, whilst Higuain has been given extra time.

Tuttosport claims the two stars have disappointed the club and the situation could lead to a possible sale this summer, with Premier League clubs following the development for the former Paris Saint-Germain man.

Higuain is entering his final year of the contract at Allianz Stadium and the newspaper claims the Old Lady would allow him to find a possible suitor on his own and could be willing to terminate his deal prematurely to help him do so.
