Former Napoli striker Cristian Bucchi believes that Gonzalo Higuain is better than Edinson Cavani.

The Argentine forward netted twice at the weekend as the Partenopei overcame Milan 3-1, adding to his 12 Serie A goals since arriving from Real Madrid.

And the 36-year-old former Cagliari man has claimed that Higuain is doing better than his predecessor at Stadio San Paolo.

“For me, Gonzalo is a true champions,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb. “I agree with [Gabriel] Batistuta that he is better than Cavani.

“The lad’s extraordinary and has filled the void left by Cavani brilliantly. It’s great to watch him. He’s a real danger for opponents.

“I see Cavani is a more individualistic forward – more selfish. He was very central, whereas Higuain is all over the pitch participating in team play.”
