‘Hamsik won’t join Juventus’

Marek Hamsik’s agent assures he won’t leave Napoli in January, and it’s “unlikely” he’d join Juventus.

The Bianconeri tried to sign the Slovakian midfielder this summer, but were rebuffed by the Partenopei, and the player’s representative says he’s happy at San Paolo.

“Juventus? In football you never know what can happen next season,” Juraj Venglos admitted, speaking to Radio Crc.

“Juventus were looking for a player in his role, and came up with Hamsik. He won’t move in January though, and it’s difficult to see him leaving.

“I don’t know if Hamsik will end his career with Napoli, at the end he might want to go back to Slovakia.

“I spoke with Hamsik about the Scudetto, this year it’s much more achievable and my client is aware of that.

“Juventus aren’t as close to the top, so that’s why they [Napoli] could go all the way.”

Venglos was also asked whether Hamsik is in the best form of his career, and praised the relationship with Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri.

“I don’t know if this is the best Hamsik, but he’s certainly going through a good spell. He’s putting in great performances for the national team and also Napoli.

“With his double Slovakia reached the European Championships, and he’s doing good things in a blue shirt, but I hope this isn’t his best yet.

“Sarri was right, Hamsik is one of the best in Europe in his role. The Napoli Coach has explained every detail to my client, and he likes that a lot, that’s why the relationship between the two is great.”
