Marek Hamsik has apologised for Napoli’s draw with Genoa on Monday, but insists that they can finish in second place.
The Partenopei drew 1-1 with the Grifone yesterday to slip six points behind current runners-up Roma.
However, the Slovakian forward is confident is men can claim an automatic Champions League place this season.
“I’m sorry about losing two points yesterday,” he told the club’s official website.
“But we still believe we can get second place.
“Our lack of goals doesn’t worry me, we just want to feel good on the pitch and try to play better than we are at the moment.”
Hamsik then commented on the upcoming Europa League clash with Swansea.
“We care about the Europa League. We want to beat Swansea and see how far we can go in the competition.”
