Guidolin: ‘We can hurt Inter’

Udinese have stunned Milan and Genoa in the last two weeks, so Francesco Guidolin is confident “we have what it takes to hurt Inter.”

The Friulani are on blistering form at the moment, drawing 4-4 at San Siro with Milan before a 4-2 victory at Marassi.

“Our opponents are of an immense level, but we are aware that we're a good squad and want to bring out a strong performance,” said the Coach.

The Friulani are on blistering form at the moment, drawing 4-4 at San Siro with Milan before a 4-2 victory at Marassi.

“Our opponents are of an immense level, but we are aware that we're a good squad and want to bring out a strong performance,” said the Coach.

“We deserved our spot in the table, but now we have to push even harder every week, game after game, and there's no doubt against Inter our motivation will be at its peak.

“We require the utmost focus, maniacal precision on the details and concentration all the way up to 11.”

Udinese's strong form was somewhat spoiled midweek by their Coppa Italia elimination on penalties to Sampdoria.

“I saw the team in good shape anyway and we'll go out there with the utmost respect, but aware of our own strengths. We know that we have what it takes to hurt Inter.

“The Nerazzurri have returned to the type of team that can win 15 on the trot, especially now the treatment room is emptying out, but we believe and know that we can have our say.”

Alexis Sanchez has developed into a star after Guidolin reshuffled the tactics.

“The lad has a good idea of what he needs to do, he never pulls back and always trains with the intention of improving every detail.

“I think he likes this new Number 10 role that we have built for him, but the class and talent of a champion are all down to him.”
