Udinese boss Francesco Guidolin has accepted the criticism which his side are currently being subjected to.

The Stadio Friuli outfit are in a moment of difficulty given that they have lost four of their last five games in Serie A.

Their latest reverse came at struggling Catania at the weekend when the Sicilians netted a 1-0 victory.

“Football is made of moments when you are praised all too easily, but everything changes quickly,” the tactician commented.

“The opinions on Udinese and myself are influenced by the past three seasons.

“It's weird not to see Udinese with teams such as Fiorentina and Inter in the table, but the results we have achieved in the past cannot be repeated so easily.

“Our current position means that we are fighting and we know we can do better.”

The Bianconeri are joint eleventh in the standings, but only four points above the relegation zone. They are next in action at home to Fiorentina.

“All my players work hard all times,” Guidolin continued. “Their training is good, aimed and planned. They all do their best to succeed.

“The international break? The players away on national duty cannot train as much as the others, but it's an honour to have so many players selected.

“We'll try to recover our injured over the next few weeks.”
