Francesco Guidolin admits Udinese “must win to keep our hopes alive” against Anzhi after sliding back in their Europa League group.

The Friulani had been on top of Group A, but back-to-back defeats against Young Boys saw them finish up bottom going into tomorrow’s trip to Russia.

“I hope Udinese play the way we did in the first game at the Stadio Friuli, where we deserved more than the point,” he said of that 1-1 draw.

“We have two matches left to qualify and in order to not wipe out our chances completely, we must win both and see what happens.

“That means we must win tomorrow to keep our hopes alive. We’ve brought our best players to Russia, as we are focused only on this game.”

Antonio Di Natale is in the squad, but it remains to be seen whether the veteran hitman will actually start.

“As ever in these cases, I will decide tomorrow morning whether he’ll start or not,” added Guidolin.
