“I thank my players, but tonight the Alessandria fans won,” Gregucci told Rai after the match.
“We were still in with a shot after the first leg, and the game could have come alive for us with a few incidents. We weren’t able to take the lead, then we made a mistake.
“We conceded two goals on dead balls. I’m sorry not to have scored a goal, we had a lot of good opportunities.
“We could have scored a goal at Milan, we played and we tried. It was a great experience, now we get back to our day-to-day reality.”
